These homeowners needed an overhaul of their 1960s-era kitchen. The key to this project’s success was as much in the space planning as in its aesthetic. Removing an awkwardly placed peninsula and bumping out the backdoor wall by three feet allowed for the complete transformation of the layout. A cozy breakfast nook and an entry area with lockers and bench were possible when the space opened up. The stylish grey and white color palette is complemented by the dramatic marble backsplash, quartz counters, and deep tone of the wood floor.
